J Vineyards & Winery: Sparkling Magic

From the first I loved J Vineyards - its lazy beauty, its handsome half-wild gardens and a sleepy pond with a lovely, but lonely bird.

I like to think that J Vineyards and Winery remain committed to excellence and innovation. White wines (J Pinot Gris is my favorite) offer you an excellent balance of crispness and aromas, which complement seafood, salads or any other light dish I cook for my family and friends.  

That Tuesday afternoon it was a perfect place for my journal with a glass of delicious Russian River Valley J Sparkling Brut, 2006.   

West Shore Cafe - Lake Tahoe

The afternoon lake was a sensation for all its colors and drifting mellow light. The post-lunch-before-dinner menu was delightful. My husband enjoyed his Maine Lobster Gazpacho and I was happy with my West Shore Caesar Salad with salmon.

The West Shore Cafe + Inn is located on Tahoe's west shore and it is must-visit destination.
