Banshee Wines in Healdsburg

The scene is the interior of the Banshee Wines Tasting Room in downtown Healdsburg on a pleasant and lazy afternoon in October. Town has burst out into fall, and it is such a delightful discovery that I feel that I ought to make it known. Healdsburg is like the hopelessly sunken ship in the fairy tale of art, great wines and food.  

Suddenly free from the cares and irks of my busy life, indifferent to my duties, I sit in the cozy Banshee Wines Tasting Room sipping tender and delicious Pinot Noir and lazily watching from huge windows clouds of fog slip across the sky.

The Banshee Wines Tasting Menu offers a wide range of great wines, but my favorites are 2014 Sonoma County Sauvignon Blanc and 2013 Sonoma County Pinot Noir, and I am going to share these wines with my friends for Holidays. And one last thing I have to mention - the service is fantastic!

Salito's Crab House & Prime Rib: Fantastic Place for Lunch

Salito's Crab House & Prime Rib is a delightful eatery that has long been my favorite in Sausalito. Casual but graceful deck overlooks the Bay and oozes charm and magic of the area.

The menu includes a wide range of signature dishes and all of them are delicious. My favorite order is salad and calamari fritti, my husband's - crab enchilada. 

On my way to the car I stopped and smiled at the gorgeous tall flowers and they smiled at me back with all their colorful petals. 

Pacific Ocean in My Steps

Feeling good from the white wine at lunch on Salito's Deck in Sausalito, I took a deep breath, folded my arms and walked slowly along the Rodeo Beach. I paused there a moment looking absently at a growth of waves, listening to the sound of falling water. 

As I stood in the damp air and fuzzy grey light, the lady with two dogs crossed the path ahead of me. It seemed that the mystery and magic left the Ocean and melted into these two dogs and became part of them.
